We were unsure of how things would turn out this early in the ski season, but we figured what the hell. We headed up to the Baker ski area and skied up towards Table mountain. Just short of Table we found a slope that looked ok. There was lots of crud, but it was a fun time. cj at the base of the slope. It wasn't the best ever, but it was a fun time. We might have gotten an inch up in the mountains here in Colorado from the storm today - though when I checked the Indian Peaks cam it wasn't even snowing there. I think I like my skis too much to try what you did, but good on you for getting out. I was mountain biking and bouldering in upper 70s when you were bundled up. We were pretty picky about picking a solid snow pack and not even thinking about finding the gnar steeps. It'll take a bit more before it's truly good.
