Doug_Hutchinson
I like 5.10 shoes because they fit my feet best, and most agree that their rubber is the best. However, I am not sold on the newer (Onyx) rubber. It seems a little harder and stiffer than Stealth, so feels a little less sticky and less sensitive to me. Not by much, but I cannot consider it an improvement, although it is supposed to be more durable. Other opinions from those who have used both? Jens
I have two pairs of the exact same shoes that I swap routinely at the gym and at the crags. One pair has been resoled with stealth c4 the other with Oynx. I personally can't tell the difference. ------------------- As a sidenote: The rubber montrail puts on their shoes is worse than the stuff on the shoes when I started climbing. One has no chance of climbing near their limit with montrail rubber.

Jens
No, both pairs get worn at the crags and gym.
selkirk
Same comment as Jens-- Went from a pair with Stealth, and resoled them with C4, and I can't really tell the difference. Though as I tend to drag my toes and peel the rands, the durability hasn't been significantly different either.
