MisterMo Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 An FPA application to log 90 plus acres on Heybrook Ridge spawned a short thread here a while back. Logging has been postponed for a time giving a local group an opportunity to raise support (and money) to purchase the land. Persons interested in this issue might want to hit the Friends of Heybrook Ridge website HERE There's absolutely no climbing over there but it's a pretty piece of ground and a part of what you gawk at while you're belaying over here. bigwalling Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 That one clear cut over by the river off Mt. Index road(think) is ugly enough. Damn, this will really suck if we end up gawking at a clear cut all day. Quote
archenemy Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 MrMo Thank you for this post. This is just as great if not even better than supporting Access Fund b/c it is local. Thanks! Quote
rat Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 $1.4 million? with much of the second growth now at a profitable size, you folks in the skykomish river valley are going to be shelling out a lot of money to protect your "viewsheds". Quote
