ambys Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Hi everyone, I recently acquired a pair of Scarpa Invernos on eBay and I really like them. They're the perfect combination of sturdy and flexible for my feet. My problem is that I am going to Denali this summer and I fear that the factory insoles will not be warm enough. I'm aware that there seems to be a warmer "aveolite" foam liner, but I can't find any place that stocks them, local or on the internet. Does anybody know where I can find these said liners? Or something that would achieve a similar ends? Many thanks in advance, ambys Quote

DPS Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I second Intuition liners, I used them in my 10 year old Invernos on Denali worked well. I got them at Marmot Mountain Works in Bellevue. Quote
ambys Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 Thanks for the quick reply, guys! I'm looking at the "Denali" liner ( http://www.intuitionsports.com/page127.htm ). Would this be suitable and would you recommend it, or is there another one that would be better? Also, where's the best place to buy this stuff. Unfortunately I live out on the east coast, so internet is my only option. Thanks, ambys Quote
salbrecher Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 To make the intuitions even warmer you can glue on a piece of the thin premolded intuition foam (I got it from the intuition factory) inside your boot under your liner. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I think you can call the "Intuition Sports" shop and they should be able to get you into the exact liner you are looking for. And yes, the Denali's are the ones you will want to get. Quote
ambys Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 Thanks so much, guys. I really appreciate the advice! Quote

ambys Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Alright, it looks like I'm going to have to do this via Mail Order and ship my boots to have the liners fit for them. Does anybody know of a good, reliable place who will do this for me? Thanks, ambys Quote
Alasdair Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 http://www.guideschoice.com/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=280 good price on liners Quote
ambys Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Sweet deal, thanks! If I buy those, can I just take them to a shop and have them mold them for my boot? Does anybody know what I can expect to pay for said service? Quote
EscalarK2 Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 If you buy them from guideschoice.com and then take them into AAI, they have in the past fitted them for free. Give em a call, they are in Bellingham. Quote
ambys Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 The problem is that I'm located in New York. Quote
