Some buddies and I are trying to replace all the old bolts to make this route a safe and fun climb. While we were up there, we found this: I should have got a better picture, but essentially it appears that an earthquake actually crushed the old Hex and sheered it sideways. Kinda' cool. Anybody else see any old gear that has been dmaged by earthquakes? Jason Quote

It is really weird looking. I doubt very much that a falling climber could make a hex warp as radically as this thing was warped. Jason Quote

Don't harsh the man's buzz...he wants to believe it was an earthquake so let him run with it.....just this time, o.k.? Once, I found some tattered webbing up on a peak and a friend of mine suspected it was one of them apple-eater creatures: you know the type: chipmunks, squirrels and their bushy-tailed relatives. I, however, think it was Bigfoot, and continue to think that, and I'd prefer not to hear otherwise. So, have you checked the bent hex for micro-faulting? Quote
