Good conditions for Mt Garibaldi, with white-outs coming and going and light snow falling mid-Sunday.

We approached from the north; the 3 lakes are still frozen, although you'll have to ski around part of the 2nd one.

The snow is good on the summit slope, the bergschrund is not opened yet.

The snow is crusty at lower elevation below 2000m, and there is no good skiing to be found in the trees.

Quite a few parties on the neve.

We woke up in the ping-pong ball yesterday behind the Gargoyles. Sounds like the north side was the place to be. Lots of breakable crust around Elfin and Paul Ridge.

It was blue sky started the summit slopes. We could see all high peaks (Castle T, Wedge, Mamquam, and Atwell of course), but didn't see a soul, although it looked like somebody built an igloo on Dalton Dome (?).

Its funny, from Wedge summit you cant see Garibaldi cause Castle Towers gets in the way. but from Garibaldi you can see Wedge sticking out over top of Castle Towers.

That's some good stuff you got in yer pipe there Dru! Tried thinking about that, but it made my brain hurt. [Wink] You'd think it would be the reverse cause Ct is closer to Gari.
