hurricane ridge skiing

OK so I am a little premature, but I was wondering what anyone had to say about any backcounty ski tours out of hurricane ridge. any thoughts on the mom & pop area up there would be good too. I havn't been up there since I was about ten.

for that matter any other suggestions for ski tours in the olympics would be great.

There is great BC skiing off Hurricane ridge! Stuff on east and west side of Mt. Angeles, and also out on Hurricane hill. Hell, you get to drive your car to 5,000 ft. Call me any time and I'll go!

Parker- you, me, and the Fitz should go do some early season skiing up there these next couple of weeks- great heather up there for the snow to coat for early season, ya?

A little off topic...

Anybody know a good link to find out about a proposal to install ski lifts at Hurricane Ridge? I read a bit about it in the paper a few months back. It seems like its already busy enough up there without big lifts.

ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SKI THERE (once there is snow) should call me. I live on this side of the water so don't have to take the ferry. It's about 1.5-2 hrs from Bainbridge to the summit. I'll even pick up any east siders at the ferry terminal and drive. Weekdays only!!! It is in the National Park and on Fri, Sat, Sun they man the gate. $10 per car unless you got the Golden Eagle Pass. Fun winter climbing up there too on Mt. Angeles.
