salbrecher Posted June 22, 2006 Share Posted June 22, 2006 The ruber handles on my Cobra tools are comming off from postholing and i was wondering what would be the best thing to fix it with. i tried seam grip before but it came off again. I've seen where people took the original rubber off on purpose and dipped them because it made the handle smaller. Been considering doing the same with mine. cdurf Posted July 10, 2006 Share Posted July 10, 2006 I've put seam grip on the palm of my goretex backed shell mits to repair holes. The trick for a good grip and not a slippery grip is as follows. I heard about it and tried it. Â Add table salt on the seam grip after it is applied and before it dries. Â You know it works. Like little suction cups after the salt desolves.
