WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Is there any way to find out what the weather was like on the day he went missing? Are there records on the web?

For those of us familiar with the area can we find out the specifics of where and what S&R has searched? This information would be useful to anybody heading in to the area and interested in keeping an extra eye out for Roger.

He signed the [Phelps Creek] trail register "in" & "out" on October 27th

It was clear that day, or at least there was no measurable precip. May have been clouded over though given the day before and after.

So he signs the register on the 27th and by the 29th there is five inches of snow on the ground. That's unfortunate timing for the weather.
