Sorry no one answered you yet. I do not to have the definative answer as I haven't been up there this year yet. Hmmm, last year either. But: I would suppose it's open, but if not, park below and walk up. Probably a hike with some snow, if not then it's a ski with some hiking I'd suspect, but who can say as it's been in the 50's but we had a lot of snow this year.

 

What is it, 3 mi if you don't do the road?

God I'm lame: not much help either I suspect. That was always my favorite part of the mountain, going in from Cloud Cap.

I'm pretty sure it isn't open yet. Without the road, it's about 3 miles to Tilly Jane. The trail easy to follow, even with an inch or two of new snow tonight. I don't think it'll be the safest thing to get on the spur if the sun starts hitting that new snow layer tomorrow, I hope you're avalanche savvy.
