layton
Is there anywhere on this website where I can get some info on Mt Adams?
fettster
Can't comment for info on CC, but there's some details you could start with off the SP page: http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/150198/mount-adams.html

Roy
Seems some people think Adams is not worthy, others looking for help. I have spent a lot of time around there, hear is a few tips. Camping at cold springs is tough noisey, camp lower. The lunch counter has a lot of mice, camp on the ridge west of the cresent glacier about a mile lower. One day is better. North ridge, sw shute, and Mazama glacier better routes than the south spur but a bit more of a grunt. South spur best on a week day, September a good time. This is if you want to go the fastest way. Adams glaicer is fun, North and east areas offer good wilderness, and interesting route finding The ranger station at trout lake can give you outdated road reports, do not just take the word of the person that answers. iluka
Current Road Conditions as of 6/19: It's possible to get to just past Morrison Creek campground. If you have 4-wheel drive and good clearance you can probably get past the few snow berms that block the road at that point and drive at least another 1-plus miles towards Cold Spring CG as the road is mostly bare. If you're skiing, you'll be walking most of the way to the trailhead from Morrison Creek as adequate snow coverage on the road doesn't start until near the campground. MtnBoy
Is the gate to the trail head locked?
iluka
Given that I don't remember seeing any gate around the trailhead, I'd have to say "No, it isn't locked" although perhaps it is under snow.
bub
The gate to Cold Springs, near Morrison Creek Trailhead is open. Also, we were able to drive to within 1/4 mile of the South Spur Trail head, Sat 6-24. As of toady there still is snow in the camp and you can not drive into the campground, but with the warm temps that may change this week.
