jibby Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 There are some pics from last year on 8a.nu of me and dom
andyf Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I hope thats work or vacation and not a finger, ankle or elbow Hey, I've been pretty healthy! I'll be spending Wednesday nights through May picking up my son from the gym...and maybe getting in a few boulder problems myself, if traffic from Oly doesn't suck and make me late.
fallabit Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 I'm new to all this, is it ok to come watch you guys? I guess I need to figure out what gear I need, and put my toe in the water, just a lil. (i'm not blessed with a lot o self confidence Thanks
jibby Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Have you tried going to the Warehouse Rock Gym in Olympia first to gain some climbing expierence? I'm pretty sure that you can come and watch. Just talk to Off(he doesn't bite).
fallabit Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 I've been going there off and on for a couple years, time to get outside now )
Drederek Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Hey Off, If it doesn't rain today are we good to go?
Off_White Posted May 28, 2008 Author Posted May 28, 2008 Absolutely, though the 60% chance of thunderstorms is not super encouraging. I'm dying to go play on the crag. Feel free to call or email for up to the minute reports!
miladugga Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I have to work tonight (boo hoo!) but if you get rained out I would be up for Sunday or Monday at the quarry!
fallabit Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 (edited) Any chance tonight off? It's still kinda wet in oly Dave Edited June 4, 2008 by fallabit
Off_White Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 It's a wee bit damp out here, probably climable, though we did have about 12 hours of steady rain, and the stone might be a little tender. I haven't heard from any of the regular crew, I don't know that anyone is coming out tonight.
fallabit Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 The stone is tender?, that mean's we can damage it? If that's the case I should give it a miss and go to the warehouse methinks? If you want to play I'll come down, otherwise I'll climb inside. Lemme know what you wanna do, I'm ok either way. Dave
Off_White Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 Yyes, the damp sandstone is more likely to have holds break off, and most routes don't have any holds to spare. The rain was more than just a casual shower, so I think it would be prudent to not climb today, though I'm rather impatient to do some climbing. ah well.
fallabit Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Thanks for the info......cya next week, and have a good one
miladugga Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I'm out for tonight, working on the deck and the garden. Thanks for Monday though, Off, it was awesome. 7 pitches in two hours and I was done, have to build up some endurance. Speaking of holds breaking off, I thought Hercules had lost it's starting holds, then realized it was just harder then I remembered! Yikes!
Drederek Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Tell me the rock is dry, whats it been , a month ?!?!?!?!?!!!??
Off_White Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 It's only been three weeks, but who's counting? YES, we look good for tonight, 6/18/08
