keenwesh Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 sasha and elmo are always pleasant to be around, even when they are humping each other.
Off_White Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 I'm cautiously optimistic, I'll post an update tomorrow. You're welcome to call me too.
Off_White Posted June 6, 2012 Author Posted June 6, 2012 I haven't been to the base, but is sunny now and I think things are looking good for climbing this evening.
megspk Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Is this still an active wednesday climb?! Id love to join if it is
Off_White Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Yup, every Wednesday the weather is good. We're just south of Olympia, where are you coming from? PM me your email address and I'll send a waiver and directions.
keenwesh Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 what's up with the sudden explosion of two word spam-bots?
Drederek Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Looks like this might be it for awhile, I hope I'm wrong. The friction was superb tonite, allowing me to redpoint Floater for the first time in a few years. Thank you Off for owning and sharing such a wonderful place. Duke
mattp Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Just because we usually experience 25 weeks of generally wet weather from this date forward you expect the worst? Sad.
Off_White Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 Well, with dry days forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday I haven't given up hope for another day. Gotta start earlier with the encroaching darkness though, so skip out on work after lunch. Its been my pleasure hosting folks out here, I like it when people love this place as much as I do, and its a delight to climb with all you folks.
Drederek Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Just because we usually experience 25 weeks of generally wet weather from this date forward you expect the worst? Sad. Yes I did but thankfully I was wrong again. Where were you wednesday?
miladugga Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 We got 6 pitches in today before it got dark- raindrops started falling as I drove home. What a great quarry season, new folks, 3 new redpoints, and plenty to work on for next year! Thanks Off!
Drederek Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Hey Off, did it snow down there today? If it stays dry till Wednesday do we have a shot?
Off_White Posted March 26, 2013 Author Posted March 26, 2013 IF it stays dry we've got a shot, but it isn't supposed to stay dry. I'll let you know tomorrow if we've got any hope in the immediate future.
Off_White Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Sunday was opening day, with most of the right side dry. Fickle weather gods willing the Wednesday should be a go, though at least four stalwart regulars will likely be out of town.
Off_White Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 Looks like it will be dry enough, with the entire right side dry. I'll be out there starting about 4:00 I think, hope to see some folks
Drederek Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Sorry to miss the opener, hope it went well. Just couldn't pull myself away from this one!
jibby Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Which part of the park is that? Finally made it out there over Christmas break for a day of bouldering. Amazing place! Will have to come down for a Wed. over summer to catch up!!
Drederek Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) That's the SE end of Echo Rock, between Hidden Valley Camp and Barker Dam. Sweet handcrack left of the middle is Pope's. Did you get your rack out down there or just waste yer time pebbling? We'll look forward to catching up with ya on one of these Wednesdays. Edited April 18, 2013 by Drederek
Off_White Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 This Sunday was opening day, with the right end of things dry enough to climb, probably about 16 of 42 routes were climable. We'll start up the Wednesday thing now, though it looks like this week will be wet. Still, we're starting to hit the season. It sure was great yesterday...
