Thinker Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I finally got a couple of shots of a cool way one business here in SLC has reused some industrial byproduct. It got me thinking about other examples I've seen in the outdoor industry. One that comes to mind is the climbing gym in Idaho Falls that is (or was, at least, about 6 years ago) using excess parts of TEVA soles all over the floor to cushion falls (much like the gravel in the local seattle gyms). Something about turning climbing ropes into rugs and floor mats strikes me as 'wrong', though. What other examples have YOU seen? Quote
Blake Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 A guy I know uses old carabiners, runners, old ropes etc. for everything from laundry lines to swings for children. Quote
Thinker Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 So did any of the 120+ viewers of this thread, thus far, pick up on what company byproduct is pictured? I'd bet more than a few of us have them on our rack.... Quote
iain Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 yes it is the mold for catbirdseat's rack of backup BD nut tools when the calipers lie about appropriate nut size Quote
billcoe Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Nice call Iain. BTW, is it true that Dru is triple-recycling toilet paper in his house. Use it twice to wipe. Then it gets burnt in lieu of firewood, the ashes go on the garden. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Holy Nut Tool Sheet Batman, quit busting my low ballz. Quote
