Colin Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Has it been done? I would think that it would have to be clothes-free (except for socks, boots, and sunglasses - gaiters are questionable) all the way from the car to the summit and back. Sunburn would undoubtably be the greatest hazard. Would the rangers and/or NPS cops arrest you, or do they have real work to do? Quote
chris Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I've heard its happened once in '97 or '98. But this wasn't a "clean" FNA - the climber in question was witnessed wrapping himself in a parka and sleeping bag during breaks. Quote
Dechristo Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Probably tucked it into his sock after the helmet became purple by undesirable means... amazing the shrinkage factor didn't manifest. Quote
