Plinko Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I've got to be at a wedding on Saturady evening in Leavenworth, but I'm planning to climb Fri-Sat, then come back for the wedding, then climb/camp again Sun-Mon. SO I'm looking for a shower in the area. Is there anything reminiscent of a hostel around there? The only place I can think of off the top of my head is the State campground just off US2 near Peshastin. I would just jump in the river, but that water's COLD and I'm a wuss. Any suggestions are welcome. Quote
Freeman Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Maybe the Leavenworth city pool? I think the city park at Cashmere, the County park at Monitor and the State Confluence Park at Wenatchee all have showers. Quote
Szyjakowski Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 the sleeping lady may let you use one of their many showers.... there is also a KOA on the road to the river past Safeway and Marsons. Quote
JBC Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 The laundromat has showers (or at least it used to.) Quote
Szyjakowski Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 the laundrymat is pretty ghetto for Ltown standards. the city pool does have showers. Quote
L0ngpause Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 You can take a shower at the KOA for $5, never done it though. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 the river ain't that cold though. yes; it is. it's freaking cold! Quote

Bill_Simpkins Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Many truck stops have showers. They run about 5-6 bucks and they supply towels, soap etc.. Just look for a lot of semi's parked outside. Remember this for road trips. Quote
Plinko Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 Just a quick follow-up. We ended up doing some stuff around Chiwawa, so it was closest to shower at Lake Wenatchee State Park. 75 cents buys you 2 minutes of hot water; the cold water is free and lasts as long as you can stand it. Quote
