Crux
Chinese Oil Bids $18.5 Billion to Capture Unocal. Chinese currency is protected against world market valuation by communist government. Does U.S. toleration of this monetary policy amount to being a U.S. subsidy of Chinese economic power?

JoshK
More like "Is Asian purchasing of US debt the only thing keeping America from bankruptcy". It certainly helps, thats for sure. We can thank our fearless leader for selling the country to Asia while at the same time preaching for American leadership and security. How they manage to pull the wool over the country's eyes is still beyond me. Vote republican for national security. Ha. What a farce. -josh

JoshK
I have no problem with foreign invesment or outright foreign ownership of U.S. companies but I dont think we have the obligation to allow ownership of a US company by a foreign state. cj001f
Is this your slur for Japan? No, it's the Chinese's slur for Japan. With 4x the population of Japan, China has a bit more growth in it. Not to mention they are at the production evolution stage that Japan was 50 years ago, you remember, 25 years before Japan was going to own us? I'm sure you have the sort of NVA job that's impervious to economic cycles, so carry on.
