willstrickland Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Not for months now. Solstice is next week. Sunset is around midnight, sunrise about 3:30am or so. Doesn't get dark though, sun never gets very far below the horizon just kind of skims below it for a bit, sort of a long sunset transitioning into sunrise. Messes up my sleep patterns but it's great for fishing. Â Our minor league baseball team plays a midnight game with no lights around this time every year. Quote
Dechristo Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 (I didn't know fairbanks' climate was temperate rain forest). Give global warming a few more years. It's close to 80 right now. lots of latitude  Man, 27degrees more latitude and five degrees fahrenheit more temperature than my locale!  Sunset is around midnight, sunrise about 3:30am or so. Doesn't get dark though... You folks up there take Daylight Savings Time WAY too seriously... Quote
Double_E Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Nice pic EE, even though it is sans discernible toe. Â Â well, DC, if you're gonna be that semantic about the word cameltoe you probably haven't been to this site. Â NOTE: link is not work-safe (is basically PG-13 rated.. but your LAN may still block it ... and "note" it.) Â Â Â anyways... a 'toe don't have to be wrapped in lycra to be a "'toe", ...... ya know?
