Competely trival and unimportant ratings question

how hard is thin fingers, if you sucks as I do, and always bipass the 11a face via the 5.8 traverse. i say 10b except nothing gets rated 10b at index so you have to chose between 10a and 10c. i chose 10c, Discuss

Since I'm totally the shit at rating things, I'm going to go out on a very secure limb and say that the rest of it is 10c/d. The Cramer book calls it 10d. I agree, you can't call it 10b, because you can't call it 10b at Index. 10a is off, because Breakfast of Champions is 10a and Thin Fingers is way harder than that. It's not 5.11, because it's just not that hard. Plus, if you call it 10c/d you can tell the ladies that you lead 10d on gear, and you're really close to getting an 11. Which would be true, because if you traverse below the 11a crux, you do get pretty close to it.

I'd call it 10c. It is sustained, but not super hard. i know it is not an 11. Plus it is easier than Sloe Children, and Sloe Children is a 10d... But, I always suck at giving things ratings, and just know if I can climb it or not, so you may want to take this with a grain of salt...

I guess I'd go with the 10c for Thin Fingers, but I've only toproped it (but I have toproped it about a jillion times! ).

yeah, I know there are few 10b's just not many, but there are plenty of 10a's that feel hard for 10a ie Sagiturus, libra and even some 10c's that feel easy for 10c, ie both 10c cruxs of davis holland.

 

Kinda like how smith has a lot of 10b's and not many 10c's.

 

oh and I thought that pitch 2 of city park was 10b/c, also your forgetting the last pitch of nad in your 10b count unless it gets something less in that guide.
