philfort
If you're looking for better weather, do stuff right off of highway 20 near Rainy and Washington Passes. If you want the most fresh snow, do stuff from the Mt Baker ski area, or the Coleman-Deming trailhead (Glacier Ck - not sure how far it's driveable right now). specialed
I think WA / RAINY will be your best bet as it is the access point with highest elevation - you will be starting out on snow. The number of tours you can do from there is infinite. You could day ski or do overnighters. Another option would be to go to the Eldorado / Boston Basin area off of Cascade Rvr Road. However, you'll definitly have to put in some heinous bushwacking to get to the good snow. Once you're up there that place is magnificent as any in the lower 48. Definitly a multi-day thing though. With the weather being unstable WA Pass is probably best.
slaphappy
Having gone to Hart's Pass and Mt. Baker last week, I would go to Baker. Normal years I would agree with Specialed but this year the base is way better at Baker...
