The Amsterdam kind. (That would be "Hamsterdam" for the snafflehound.)

Back to the TR, Greg W and his munitions were no-shows. [Frown] I was looking forwards to shooting stuff and blowing stuff up! In fact down the China Hat Road area while looking for the caves, we were probably the only unarmed party in the whole county!

Sorry to disappoint; I'm hoping to head to Smith after the first of the year, so maybe we can hook it up then.

Dropped Erik off at the airport to start his desert adventure. He asked me to post that the people who decided to stay home didn't miss a thing. It sucked... [big Drink][big Drink][chubit]

Actually it really [rockband] We all had a lot of fun. So the truth is you missed out. [Razz]

FYI: You should have turned left on to Forest Service Road 1819. A few years ago we were out there and it tool us forever to remember what road it is to the cave. Now I have it in ROM never to be forgotten.

I was out there for the first time in a year or so last Thursday, and they have a NEW sign up that says the caves are closed from November until sometime in the Spring. I do not believe there are any bat colonies inhabiting this particular cave. I wonder why they don't want people futzing around out there in the winter...

I had no idea that there was some kinda CascadeClimber.com roundup last weekend. I was just really surprised at how many people asked me if I visit this site. My memory was apparently impaired by a 40 ouncer of Lucky's Lager, and I can't remember the usernames of the climbers I met. But I do remember several other like-minded degenerates that we hung out with.

Was my first time at Smith also, will definitely be making that a regular pilgrimage.

all that slab stuff is easy if you bring along your helicopter gunship to propel yourself to the chains (helicopter gunships are not aid). Unfortunately I left mine in my other pants last weekend so many routes were not sent.

DFA was looking for a picture of Stallone using the bolt-gun from Cliffhanger to go along with this thread, but a google images search turned up nothing but Cliffhanger movie posters, random climbing pictures, and this Christmas Mouse, who at least looks like he's about to dish out a beat-down:

Close enough.

Consensus at Timmys house was that being a mascot in TV ads is one of the worst jobs imaginable. Especially the dinosaur Super Mario pushes into the pool! [Roll Eyes]
