ketch Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 So I was going to re sling some hexes this week. Went to several shops and even the REI had no 5.5mm tech. The search at REI showed like 6' in redmond and 30 in B'ham I could go chase down. Another shop told me that it was real scarce as all the spectra and kevlar were going overseas right now. Anyone out there know about this. Or at least got a connection for cord. Darn war is messin wit my climbin now Quote
olyclimber Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Spectra is in high demand right now because the military is buying it all up. You can find spectra cord online at gearexpress.com, or you may want to give Promountainsports or another local shop a call. Quote
Stavrogin Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 i'm going to buy up that 30' in bellingham to sell for profit! Quote
kenp Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 I have some 9 mm kermantle that is so streched out it should fit...it's real stiff too Quote
Ireneo_Funes Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Oregon Mountain Community in Portland usually has good cord for slinging hexes. Not sure if they mail-order. Quote
Colin Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 We've got 5-6 of the 20ft. lengths at Pro Mountain Sports. Quote
