letsroll
I was looking at solo NF of hood with skiis to carry over to summit and decend the cooper spur in poons till I can ski the spur with a safe runout. Will the skiis get in my way while going up NF or should I just leave them at the bottom ?
cluck
Are you for real??? I would think that soloing the north face gullies with skis on your back would be quite a challenge. But then again, after thrutching off route on the Steel Cliff while lugging your skis, you probably know your limits better than I.
Couloir
Hell, after you solo the NF, I would turn right around and ski down it! There are a couple of rock bands that if you hit just right will give you some seriously sweet air...1500-2000 feet easy!
texplorer
With all the snow up there I doubt it would be that bad of a proposition. Reports from hood lately have said there is quite a bit of powder up high.
rbw1966
Yes but trying to wrestle your way up either of the north face gullies with skis on your back might be more than a little sketchy.
letsroll
just thought I would ask. So Skiis are going to be left at the bottom. I don't mind packing the skiis on steep terrain as long as it is not a sketch fest.
