Yossarian Posted April 12, 2001 Posted April 12, 2001 Did those snapped bolts ever get replaced on Town Crier? How's the rest of the route? Quote
erik Posted April 12, 2001 Posted April 12, 2001 yossarian, the bolt ladders have been replaced with 3/8" stainless hardware. everyone can thank the washington mountain alliance for the hardware (sorry darryl i got it right now) [This message has been edited by erik (edited 04-17-2001).] Quote

Lambone Posted April 20, 2001 Posted April 20, 2001 Thanks for your sweat and tears. I plan to tick that one sometime this summer. Two questions, anyone have any special solo beta (pertaining to this route)? And whats the scoop on The Green Dragon? It sounds cool, and a little more direct. Quote
DPS Posted April 20, 2001 Posted April 20, 2001 The Green Dragon is a more direct route and features much more interesting aid climbing than Town Crier. The route goes entirely clean (the bolt ladder not withstanding). Bring cam hooks although I heard some misguided soul added copper heads to a previously clean pitch. Oh yeah, I found medium to large size hooks to be really useful. Allowed me to avoid some free climbing on the second to last pitch.
