Most recent threads?

So I used to go to the Main Index page and then select the most recent threads or last 48 threads, or something like that link and was transported to a page that had a list of the most recent threads. Now I go to the main index page and the only thing that is close is the view most recent messages link.

 

It looks to me like the box that contained the most recent threads link was replaced by the stats box? (not really sure, I never pay much attention to something I like until it is gone).

 

I liked the old way better because I wouldn't have to see some thread that got 20 posts over and over, it was just a single line.

 

What happened? Am I missing something? Probably so, I've been on vacation the last week and 1/2.

Patience, we just went through a board upgrade and a few of the hacks need to be rewritten... that's all.

I liked how I was able to hold my cursor over the thread title and a mini window would appear showing the first few lines of the thread.

 

Any way to keep that function?

We will be adding back the old functionality, unfortunately lots of the board code was rewritten which in turn requires our stuff to be rewritten. It'll take some time but we'll get there. Thanks for understanding.

I have figured out there is an error in active topics to where it indeed shows every thread that has been responded to in the last day, but unfortunately they are in no particular order.

I also liked the feature where in a given forum, the column that has the number of replies had another number in parentheses that showed how many of those replies you haven't read yet. I'm not seeing that anymore...

 

My hover-over-the-topic-preview-window-thingee is still working, too, Dru.

I liked the auto-jump to first unread post instead of the current "click here to jump". But it's not unbearable.

Every time I click on a thread with a new response I get taken back to the start of the thread. I then have to scroll through all the posts to find the new one. Wassup?
