pjc Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Any users of the BD Stratos or Ice gloves? Opinions? I haven't seen any Stratos reviews, strangely, anywhere. These gloves would be for winter use in the PACNW, but I don't want to spend $150 on the Guide gloves... Right now I have a chance to get either for $60, so... Thanks! Quote
Ryan Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 The Stratos are quite warm, but I find that the dexterity of the glove is lacking in regards to placing pro. I'd go for the Ice gloves if you're going to be climbing primarily ice. Other than that, the Stratos have worked fine for me. Quote
pjc Posted November 11, 2004 Author Posted November 11, 2004 Thanks both for the replies. I won't be doing any ice climbing, but Hey Ryan, do you happen to know someone named Lili in Bozeman? It's a "small" town... Quote
waterboy Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I have the ice gloves (XL) and what I have found is that they are virtually impossible to put on if you have wet hands. The good news is that the gore-tex works well, so your hands will dry relatively quickly once you get your hands into them. Quote
