cj001f Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Browsing on cellphones sucks. And always will. So does inputing messages into cellphones unless you want to sound like a teenage girl. The smallest useful package is something like a Treo - combo PDA/phone. Quote
lummox Posted October 18, 2004 Author Posted October 18, 2004 i been looking at the nokia 6820 which has a microsized keyboard. i dont need to write volumes anyhow. download times? coverage? any idea? Quote
olyclimber Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 I don't know about that particular phone, but GSM in general (I've used T-mobile and AT&T GSM) has pretty crappy coverage. Don't expect to be using out in the sticks...it is mostly for in-city or major corridor usage only. Quote

T-Mobile GSM coverage isn't that bad, it's what I've used for the past 2 years. A notebook with WiFi is way more useful IMHO, particularly if you get T-Mobile hotspot service - you can use at practically every starbucks, and we know how many of those are around. Quote
