sobo Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 OK, so I’m need of some shoe repairs. I’ve got a week-long trip planned for early October, so time may be an issue. A search of this site wasn’t really forthcoming with much info on who blows and who doesn’t (with respect to shoe repairs, at least ). I’ve used Dave Page in the past, but he was kinda snotty, but reasonably priced (then) and on time. So, with a month left before the trip, who do I send my dogs to for new rands and half-soles? Barrabes? Rumatas? Dave Page? TIA Quote
Jopa Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I suggest Ramuta's. If you tell him you need them by a specific date I'm sure he will get them to you (unless he is totally swamped). From what I remember it took no more than two weeks. He did a great job and didn't even charge me for fixing the seams that were falling apart. Quote
RuMR Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 dave page blows, ramuta basically will give you a brand new shoe with pretty good turnaround... ramuta is amazing... Quote
sobo Posted September 10, 2004 Author Posted September 10, 2004 Thanks Jopa and Rudy. Either of you guys have a phone number and/or address for them so I can get them shipped off this weekend? Quote
gearbot Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I believe you can drop your shoes off at Vertical World in Seattle; John Ramuta picks them up on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Call to confirm this. I agree with Rumr, you basically get a new shoe, when John is done. Quote
