ChocChick
I am assuming it is. Anyone know otherwise?
Greg_W
In the fire thread, the article posted said the campgrounds were open. However, it also said that an inversion was keeping smoke in the valleys so, air quality may not be prime.
Alpinfox
Driving back into Seattle last night on I-90 it was obvious that air quality wasn't "prime" here either. Anyone know why it was so hazy last night? Fire?
larrythellama
Because you live in an industrial waste land with a marine inversion trapping the shit in the air.
Alpinfox
Well, I've lived in this "industrial wasteland" for a few years now, and I don't recall it ever being so hazy as it was last night. Marine inversion eh? Anyway, back on topic, here is a link to a webcam aimed at Snow Creek Wall. Doesn't look too bad out there: OH OH OH CLICK ME! CLICK ME! ChocChick
Yep, it was super hazy last evening, but it made for a gorgeous sunset!!!
klenke
According to the weatherman last night, the overall smoke haze in the Puget Sound and the Cascades this week is coming from a fire burning in British Columbia somewhere NE of Vancouver. The airflow is southward. We may have a mild marine push in the next few days that will help things. A low pressure east of the Cascades will draw air from the high pressure out over the Pacific, thus the marine push.
bird
It is really weird in seattle right now. no clouds but you can't see any of the mountains. It is like we are living in Kansas or something.
