Stretch75 Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 (edited) Just recently, my climbing partner broke his foot. I was pretty bummed about losing him as a partner for the year, until I started snooping around about local mountains. I've climbed sport for about 3 years and have led the last 2. My current lead is .10b. I also have placed a bit of gear on some Leavenworth routes. Getting fired up to learn some alpine climbing. Heres my question: While surfing, I located a peak called The Tooth. Upon researching, it looks like a somewhat easy climb, being only 4 pitches and 5.5. Has anyone or will anyone be climbing this rock soon? Would like beta for rack, and or a new partner to share this experience with. Thanks, Stretch Edited April 6, 2004 by Stretch75 Quote
sobo Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Stretch, Use this board's search function for The Tooth in the subject line, Alpine Lakes forum, all dates, main posts only. You will get a bazillion hits. Da Toof, as it's affectionately referred to here on this board, gets about as much traffic as a whorehouse during shore leave. Somebody will be going there soon. Quote
John Frieh Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I'll gladly introduce you to the alpine world if you take me surfing... PM if interested. Quote
Mrs_Alden Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 I climbed the Tooth way back in 1953. I'd climb it again with you now, but that was back in the old days, cause I'm kinda old. I gotta rub my feet and hands in Epson Salt now. Good luck. Quote
