Greg_W Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 So, I find my life sufficiently busy and am now considering purchasing a Palm Pilot/PDA thing. Anyone have a model they like/don't like? What features do you wish you had? What features don't you use? Quote
badvoodoo Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 That depends on just how truly geeky you want to get. I use the iPaq for work, and I'm pretty happy with it. For a basic Window$ user, it ties right in, allowing you to work with Office documents and such. And most of the new ones, even the low-end 1945, come with BlueTooth, which could allow it to talk to your cell phone or computer wirelessly. Quote
Greg_W Posted March 19, 2004 Author Posted March 19, 2004 Cool, man. I'm leaning towards the PalmOne Tungsten E. I don't want to go wireless with it. Tying shit into Word, Excel, and Powerpoint will gel with my work. Quote
JoshK Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Have compass, don't need gps. Â GPS is still awfully nice, tho. I wouldn't haul a PDA with it up in the mountains tho. For quick and fast navigation through zero visibily GPS rules tho. Â I think the windows based PDAs definitely have the "cool" factor over Palm, if you care at all. Quote
foraker Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 i've had compasses all my life and never needed them. :-P Quote
