There is a snowpark out of randle that gets you to within 7-8 miles of the trailhead. I don't know how close you can get via the south side, but I can't imagine that it is any closer. Good luck. I think the north ridge would be a cool, relatively safe winter climb. 7 or 8 miles ain't *that* bad if you're on skis and go in during a time when the snowmobiles aren't plentiful. More protected from avys than one of the glacier routes too. The Northwest Ridge gets to about 40 to 45 degrees, if you wanted something steeper. cluck Posted March 15, 2004 Share Posted March 15, 2004 Agreed Catturd. However, the post above by Timcb mentioned he had climbed LC and I was interested in beta. Please excuse me from curiousity and thread drift. Since we are on the subject, climbed LC last Friday and found it to be a nice climb.
