Unlike Greg W, I have actually gotten responses from Maria and Patty.

 

Maybe it was because I was living in rural WA at the time, where Dems are always hurting for votes.

I honestly don't like being nickle and dimed to death, but relative to the cost of gear (100% retail mark-up), gas and transport; I'm willing to pay fees, as long as they go to resource preservation. The Republican party may not tax you to death; they will, however, sell every fuckin tree in the state, dig for coal in the remaining clear-cut then ensure that Weyerhauser doesn't pay a "user fee". God I miss Edward Abbey.

With the exceptions of Norm Dicks (D), Adam Smith (D), and Jennifer Dunn ®, Washington State's congressional delegation isn't worth a crap... Especially our two senators. I miss Slade!!

Oh, shit. I'm stuck in traffic again. My SUV (which I pay 30$ tabs for) is sucking up gas at a rate that will obviate and obliterate the tax savings in about an hour, hasn't been out in the mountains in a year. How did this happen? Why can't we build better highways? If only AlpineK hadn't been smoking pot in CM, then it would have been legalized, taxed, and provided funding for a 16 lane freeway from B'ham to Oly. Now I have to rely on trailpark and user fees to get me up in the mountains. Damn that pedophilic, monosyllabic AlpineK!
