willstrickland Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 Ahh it's all until your ass is welded to the toilet and you're simultaneously puking in the garbage can. Give it about 6 days or so to kick in. Have fun, kvien vhat ngyuarm! Quote
mattp Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 Is the beer really cheap? Last time I was there it seemed like the beer was the only thing that cost the same as it does here at home. (That half-strength, extra-sweet Mekong whiskey was cheap, though.) Quote
chucK Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 Send pictures Can you inquire about rock-climbing in Samui for me? That is, is there any? I may be there next fall. Quote
Bug Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 Only eat food that is hot or that you washed with good water and you'll be fine. As added protection, eat 1 clove of raw garlic once a day and at least one shot of distilled spirits a day. If you can get decent yogurt, that helps too. Quote
chelle Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Glad you're enjoying the place, Dryad. Matt, last time I was there a liter of beer was between 2 and 3 bucks and definately the most expensive thing on the menu. A plate of pad thai was only about $1.20 so the beer price didn't matter so much. Quote
