geordie Posted January 3, 2004 Posted January 3, 2004 Anyone climbed this thing? Is it closer to 5.0 or 5 hard? Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 No beta. But it looks like a solo or short climb in person... Or if you are not sure take a short skinny rope 30m 8-9 mil and like 5 pieces of pro. Probably a nice day climb. Quote
Marko Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 The E Ridge is a hoot if you stay on the ridge proper. Great cracks and cool exposure. Quote
Kyle_Flick Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 I did the West Ridge a couple of years ago and agree with Caveman as far as the gear. I'd recommend making a loop out of it by approaching from Snow Lake and then descending Temple Canyon to Nada Lake. Quote
erik Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 we did a new route on the n face of the black pyramid this summer....great line on great rock. check out the tr around here somewhere. the ridge routes seem to be quite short and imho doing them would be a waste of time with soo many other great objectives in the area. we descended the e ridge with no difficulty and one rap from the summit with one rope.
