Fejas Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Due to the popularity of Survivor and the spate of copy cat reality TV shows, Eastern Oregon has plans to do its own show, tentatively titled "Survivor Eastern Oregon Style." Contestants will begin the event in Pendleton, and first travel to Heppner, Condon and Madras. From there they will proceed on to Prineville, Redmond and Bend. Then they will turn east to Burns, north to John Day and over to Baker City through Sumpter. From Baker City they will proceed to LaGrande, Elgin and through Weston on their final leg back to Pendleton. Each contestant will be driving a pink Volvo with California license plates and a large banner reading: "I'm a gay vegetarian. Beer is harmful to your health. Republicans suck. Hillary in 2004. Deer hunting is murder and I'm here to confiscate your guns." The first one who makes it back to Pendleton alive, wins. Quote
J_Kirby Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 First time my dad drove his chocolate brown Volvo 240 (with NC plates) through Elgin circa 1985, the cops pulled him over cause they figured he MUST be a drug dealer. Only drug dealers drive Volvos. Quote
rbw1966 Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 The second season of Survivor: Oregon will take place in the Coast Range. Participants will drive 70's era VW Bugs with rainbow bumper stickers proudly proclaiming "We Are Everywhere" and "Our Forests Don't Owe You a Living." Contestants start off with a gay-rights parade in Sheridan followed by a tofu-cook-off in Vernonia. Our trail of tears ends in a pro-choice rally in Clatskanie. Soundtrack courtesy of Counting Crows. chelle Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Damn. I forgot to check my calendar about when "Celebrate a Redneck" day was. Thanks for the reminder. Quote
scrambler Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 In some parts, every day is redneck day. Quote
