Your owners manual should advise you which discs are playable for you model. I have same problem. Thank you for allow commie to post. ketch Posted December 1, 2003 Share Posted December 1, 2003 Go with ferns idea. Some cd players are multi-scan and can play whatever. Some are not but play a few variants. arlen Posted December 1, 2003 Share Posted December 1, 2003 Some CD decks will play CD-R but not CD-RW disks. Best of my knowledge, it has to do with how deeply the bits are set into the CD.
