We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Posting non climbing Pics

Recommended Posts

Sometimes there is a need to post photos that don't really belong in the photo Gallery, say selling gear, or trying to here is the best way to do it...

When you make a post, there is a box above the 'Continue' button you can tick off that says something like "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file." Tick that box, then hit 'Continue.'

You will now have the option to browse for a file, and upload it along with the post. The post will have an extra note in the suject line that says attachment, and is clickable...

You can leave it at that, and make a note to "See attachment," or you can get fancy.

I like to open the attachemnt, then copy the URL of the pic. Then I go back and 'Edit' my post, and add the link in as an image.

Good Luck...

Damnit Snowboy. You've deleted some of the Best pics on this site. WTF are you trying to do???

Why don't you create a non-climbing picture forum on the gallery? Oh, wait. Everything is climbing related.

You should at least have re-routed them the way you described above. That really sux dude thumbs_down.gif
