hakioawa Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 Where is the choice "3 surgeries cured it?". What kind of pain? Quote
minx Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 what about rehab didn't work the 3rd time and surgery cured it?? Quote
sk Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 depends on the kind of pain.... mine is all scar tissue all knoted up... surgery wouldn't cure it... but I hear intensive massage therapy could.... Quote
Lambone Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 Mine had that tendency to "slip out"... the more I climbed, the less it slipped and hurt. Keeping it strong was key. I started doing some basic shoulder excercized with the big rubberband and such, and it helped alot. If I take time off from climbing I am much more conservative with it. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 Mostly "surgery cured it," with the caveat that it's still a little painful and doesn't like to be yarded on too hard, presumably 'cause of scar tissue, and DFA would guess probably the sutures in there, too. ... hey, that feels pretty good. And one, and two, and three, keep it going now, uh! Quote
freeclimb9 Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I used to have kind of tweaky shoulders. You know: overhead underclings were dodgy. Then I started doing more shoulder weight lifting exercises. I haven't had a problem since. Does that info help? Quote
