Probably the main reason they did such a dumbass show was the band director found a fabulous sale on nazi flags at the TG&Y.

Meanwhile, across the street at the Piggly Wiggly they were selling KKK outfits and confederate flags.

 

The town I lived in briefly outside of Denison Texas had a population of 780--no minorities whatsoever, including hispanics. I asked a local what happened and he told me "they was some colored-folks livin here a few years ago but we run 'em out."

 

Lovely place, where at lunch time the local high school students would throw rocks at squirrels crossing power lines.
