catbirdseat Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Those 7 long years of prosperity, economic expansion and low unemployment with no war really sucked. You are right. Quote
glen Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 No war? What about the Balkans? What about the routine bombing of Iraq? Just not as overt as Dubya. Quote

His term was 8 years. Why not prosperity for the entire time? The economy was turning south on Clintons watch and was in good shape when he took over. No war? Somalia? The Balkans? Lob a few cruise misssles at the caves in Afghanistan once in a while to embolden Osama? Unemployment here has pretty much been the same for the last 15 years. As far as CA, the economy has gone into the tank, not to mention the energy debacle, under the watch of Gray Davis. Quote

Dan_Harris Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 The here I was talking about was Central CA. There are seasonal fluctuations since we are an agricultural based economy. But basically unemployment has been fairly constant, too high. Is the recent spike related to the dot com failures? Quote
