rbw1966 Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Any recommendations for climbing shoe resolers? I've had my enduros resoled three times with poor results. First time was some outfit in Colorado that the Portland Rock Gym recommended. Result: delaminated the third time out while climbing at Leavanworth on a very hot day. Other two times was a local guy (no longer around) and they delaminated rapidly as well. Perhaps there is something inherently wrong with the shoes causing the delams? TIA Quote
Winter Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 Did you talk to climbaxe? I thought there was still a local guy who was doing it ... not sure who it is. I know there is still a service in town somewhere. Quote

b-rock Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I've had two resoles on two different pairs from Mountain Soles in Portland, one week turnaround, ~$40. You can drop off directly or at just about and PDX gear shop. They've been great so far about halfway through on one pair and everything is holding together fine. http://www.mtnsoles.com/ Quote
Crack Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 i had Ramula's Resoles(sp?) in downtown seattle do mine last season -35 or 40 bucks for a great one day rush job...really nice folks Quote
Thinker Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Ramuta's Shoe Repair 609 Stewart Street Seattle, WA 98101 206-622-5800 I've had 2 pair done there. The guy who does it is a climber and is occasionally out climbing, so their turn around time varies. Quote
JayB Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Another vote for Ramutas. Never a hint of delamination - stayed put until I wore a hole through the sole every time. I used to like Dave Page but they more or less told me to go elsewhere the last time I took shoes to them. The turnaround time was about four weeks. Lame. Ramuta's always has them ready in 2-3 days, and they seem to appreciate the business. Quote
chelle Posted July 25, 2003 Posted July 25, 2003 Barry's Resoles down in California has done a great job for me. I'll have to look up the info for ya. Quote
