More soldiers in the line of fire

Fuck man. What's the solution to this? These U.S. troops are sitting ducks there. Should they pull out? Should they stay? Those poor bastards are stuck between a rock and a hard place while the commander in chief tells the Iraqis to bring it on. Something's not right and the troops are suffering.

It just sucks to hear of them being picked off in these isolated attacks. In a battle, you expect people to die. In this mode of "rebuilding" though, you figure that the killing is over, and they can focus on the task at hand. Instead, we hear of them buying a can of coke and being shot at point blank range. That's so messed up.

Fuckin' A; whether the US slaps the "war" label on it or not doesn't really change the fact that, gee, there's a bunch of dudes in camo driving Hummers around and holding big fucking guns occupying Iraq. It's pretty ridiculous to sit around acting oh-so-surprised that people are getting killed over there; it's an unstable situation.

The whole thing was a straight-up stumblefuck from minute one, propped up on lies and ungrounded scare tactics from the jerkoffs in charge. The fact that US soldiers are left standing with their dicks in their hands (while, back on American soil, George W. is clusterbombing veterans' benefits and compensation for military families) should be surprising to no one.

You're kidding, right Bronco? He's in Africa attempting to appear sympathetic to the african cause in order to boost some sort of african american support for his upcoming re-election bid. If you're niave enough to believe he is there because he gives a shit about global policy for african nations (or even understands it) I've got some oceanfront land in arizona I'd love to show you.

Personally, I don't care too much for the guy, and understand why democrats are still angry about the election, I would be if it went the other way where Al Gore's Brother appoints him president. I guess I'll just vote Libertarian next year.

And YES Gowans we started this "conflict" and therefore are responsible to finish it. I can see this as a major debate point in the next election however.

"If elected president, I'll bring those boys home that our current Administratoin abandonded over there blah blah blah"

I can definitely see that too, which is why I'm torn on the whole issue. On one hand I want Iraq fixed up and us out of there ASAP. On the other hand, I want the situation to turn into a quagmire so the idiotic voting public has an excuse to get this jackass out of office.
