freeclimb9
I hooked up flipper once. I was soaking a caballito on 60# test fishing for yellowfin tuna at Pierce's point at little smoky in the Revilla Gigedos a couple hours before sunrise. The first run was a scorcher, and I was nearly spooled --thought I'd have to go to a backup rod (that's where you clip off the first rod, and throw it in the water to continue on a second). I buttoned the drag and brought the mammal alongside where we were able to cut it loose. It's very rare to fool a mammal with a hook, but it does happen.
