What exactly is the "armor of God" is it his words "turn the other cheek", or "Love thy neighbor"? Are you serious??? Time to wake up from your fairy tale adult santa claus. God is neither alive nor dead. He never existed in the first place. This is a war between two zealots claiming God is on their side. Classic!

Better get out your King James version...I doubt you have the time or patience for some Greek translated versions that are used in Seminary.

What's your point? Virtually everyone reads King James anyways. Why read Greek? So you can twist it into your own meaning via translation like all other translations? "...that depends on what your definition of 'is' is." -a political genius

I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword...And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

Reading this shows that war is just at times if the enemy is a true source of evil. Saddam=evil. Cut the head off the snake but don't go near it until after sun down. (Old cowboy saying from the Pan Handle.) Saddam's death and that of his sons will be a just and right thing to do. Sure there will never be a democracy in these countries, but it was never meant to be. If that was the case it would of happened like it did with the USA.

Our country was founded by Masons that held a reverence for spirituality not organized religion.

Reading the books of other ideologies has allowed me to see that some do as does the Bible advocate removal of evil. In the case of Saddam there can be no other choice than to assign him the Evil button of the day and hope that one lucky bomb or soldier pops the SOB and his sons.

I have to get to bed. Thanks for playing the reindeer games with me.

Ah gee, I can't believe I'm dragging this up again, but what you said above demanded comment, if for the last time.

Perhaps you are simply a troll, and I've taken the bait; I don't know. But in case you are for real, your post expresses what to me seems to be one of the basic problems with many of the religious types, and that is self-righteousness. You have now decided who is evil and who isn't (with a rather poor analysis of the facts at hand), and now feel vindicated in casting the first stone. "Let ye who hath not sinned, cast the first stone." (I really hate quoting the bible, because one can read it so selectively and buttress almost any argument, but that quote came to mind.)

I also just realized that you have no desire to think through the issues at hand, so I'm entirely done with this thread. Good Night!

Here is a bedtime thought for you:

Ezekiel 16:

41 And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

Somebody was going on a patriotic power trip and challenged the general public to list off some "better" countries:

Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland (?), uh, Canada?

I suppose "better" is definetely a bad word to use because all these countries have their problems but my experience with them has certainly been more positive than that with the US (except Finland, don't really know that much about them). Don't nobody give me bullshit about high taxes or a welfare state or socialism. These are all just dirty words to Americans. I would rather pay high taxes and live in a country with a small gap between rich and poor. Welfare State? Bullshit. And socialism is the best example of a "dirty word." There is NOTHING WRONG with socialist ideology any more than there is anything wrong with any ideology. What's wrong with it is how it's been applied and the people who have used the term such as the USSR, China, and Hitler. I don't understand why a capitalistic system mixed with a liberal dose of socialism is so difficult for Americans to accept, even as a valid idea and philosophy. What most Americans don't seem to realize is that we certainly already have elements of socialism in our society (SOCIAL security, I mean come on). We already do the government control thing, so unless you are a liberatarian, you agree with socialism to some extent. Hahahah.
