COL._Von_Spanker
Damn, it looks like the avi conditions aren't gonna be the best this weekend for any sort of safe climbing, (unless I'm reading the report wrong). And then it's gonna clear up on Sunday, to provide good climbing Monday or Tuesday. I swear I'm cursed. Anyone want to go to Index? Aid climbing mabye? cluck
The avi report for this weekend sucks. I'm bummed. Oh well, maybe I can finally get some turns in at Meadows.
MysticNacho
Uh, Index is going to be terrible this weekend. Stay away!
COL._Von_Spanker
Really? I'll be sure to stay home then.

Considering the lack of snow and bounty of good weather days we have had, I have no sympathy for you. The weather and avvy danger shouldn't be as bad east of the crest. Go to the MOUNTAINS and come back with any kind of trip report!
mattp
Sounds to me more like "rock: cold and dripping; snow: let the good times roll." There's tons of new and it fell with lots of wind, sure, but it blew steadily from the west so hazard evaluation will be easier than it might be otherwise. Even for the west slopes of the N. Cascades, the overall hazard is expected to be "considerable above about 5000 feet" Saturday and "moderate below 7000 feet" on Sunday. Mountain climbing would be quite a swim festival, but get on a pair of skis and you might have some fun.
