Where to resling gear?

I live in the Portland area and need to get some gear (mostly camming units) reslung. Any suggestions for someplace local that does this? Or has anyone had good results shipping their gear off to someone to do it?

ship it to the manufacturer. They will be happy to do it for you. I think a company called onsight in bc will also do it for you. Someone said wildthings will also do it. I don't any local places that do it.

You might try calling Climbmax (21st and Division) and asking them. I know the ClimbAxe arm of their operation works with some softgoods, they may be able to do it in-house.

Mountain tools in CA just did mine. They did a great job!!

Northwest Garmet and Gear in Fremont will re-do them...They are great shop, dont be intimidated by all the dance wear up front, Carol is a wonder with a sewing machine.

Custom work, alterations, repairs to any outdoor gear, she can do it!!!

I had some reslung by Metolius once. They replaced my wires,a nd reslung them for about 5 bucks a peice.

I do mine myself, but many of my partners swear by Yates (you know, the harness guys...)

Silly Question: Did you get much choice of collor?

There was a company called C&S here in western washington that made all kinds of aiding gear. They have a industrial stitcher and do sewing. From what I have heard, don't ask them to make quick draws though.

Most places that do it will let you send in the webbing you want on there. You just have to collect all of the right colors.

Thanks. Seems like the color choices available locally are fewer than they use to be.
