crack_addict Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 just went up to east wilman's spire. it has an approach that can be done partially by mtb. anybody know of others with bike approach? Quote
genepires Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 lots of climbs in canada can be done with bike approaches (at least part way) since many have old logging road approaches. Habrich and skypilot, chehalis range come to mind. Quote
Mike Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 N Twin Sister/West Ridge goes a lot easier with a mountain bike, especially on the way out. If your group is fairly solid, you shouldn't need a rope (or bring a light, scramble rope.) Then bike in, scramble the w. ridge, glissade down the N. face (before mid-July) and bike out. Lot's of fun and a GREAT glissade! -Mike Quote
Dru Posted October 17, 2001 Posted October 17, 2001 i found if you head in to N Twin Sister at this time of year, the gates are unlocked so hunter types don't have to walk to shoot things, so you can drive right to the end of the road.also with 6 inches of freshies you can do the glissade. special thanks to "fishstick" for hyping the dry tooling possibilities along this ridge.
