Norman_Clyde Posted January 31, 2003 Posted January 31, 2003 I sure hope so. I took my son up to the pass last night for our first-ever snowboarding experience. It was raining buckets. We were soaked by the time we finished putting our boots on. Didn't bother to get a lift ticket but just walked up the hill half a dozen times instead, till our gloves were sopping wet sponges and we were good and sick of it. Visibility on I-90 was about 100 yards, between the rain and fog. But boarding was still fun, even under the most unpleasant conditions imaginable. We plan to go to Stevens or Mission Ridge on Sunday so I'm hoping for cooler temps. Quote
Winter Posted January 31, 2003 Posted January 31, 2003 That's hilarious. That sounds EXACTLY like my first ski experinces in the mid-70s when I lived in Redmond. My folks would take me up to Snoq. in the rain and make me walk up the hill. I hated it then, but I guess it paid off. Quote
iain Posted January 31, 2003 Posted January 31, 2003 Boy it is pouring here in Portland right now. Hope this turns into some snow up high but freezing level's still up there. Quote
gregm Posted January 31, 2003 Posted January 31, 2003 freezing levels are lower further north (knock on wood) Quote
JoshK Posted January 31, 2003 Posted January 31, 2003 Ugh, that's ugly...look at all that shit that's melted through (or was it not even covered in the first place?) Quote
