Lucky Larry Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Sadly, big tear, started life with childhood family members alcohol/mental/religion dysfunction. Believed escaping would make my life better. Vicarious escapism through climbing catalogues and material acquirement. Physical abilities/talent below equipment potential yet there was an empty security in ownership--if only I have the 'right' gear I am somebody. Planetary Resource Bubble limited. Imagine all climbers having all the gear, vehicles, international travel and guided climbing they wanted. Now imagine their ecoprint. As the rhetoric builds against the 1% many of the 99% (30%?) still want what the 1% have. Even if they really don't have the talent, cruelty, ambition, inheritance, stupidity or DNA to get it. Sun, rock, shoes and chalk bag. Less is more? Edited January 17, 2017 by Lucky Larry Quote
ivan Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 it's so wierd to see the gnome-kings epistles go online - i'm used to having to read them while squatting on grassy ledges after rousing them out from a derelict nalgene bottle you ever notice "if" is the middle word in life, ole-boi? Quote
